Freddy believes in doing things you love. His love for physical fitness brought him to Southern Athletic Club in early 2008. Freddy helps SAC members with weight loss and toning. Freddy’s advice is to be consistent and work out even if you don’t feel like it because it will pay off in the long run.

Charissa Nguyen

Charissa brings over 11 years of personal training experience to Southern Athletic Club. Charissa’s inspiration to be a trainer came after she joined SAC as a member. The knowledge the trainers had inspired Charissa to get certified. She helps clients find their own style of fitness training and encourages them to take their time and do things in moderation.

Chris Groff

For Chris, training is a large part of his life. Chris’ goal is to help people lose weight and build muscle in a fun way. Chris focuses on weight training to lose fat and nutrition to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Chris feels people new to working out should start slow and work your way into a routine that fits you.

Chris Nappa

Chris recently joined the Southern Athletic Club staff. A graduate of Heritage College with an Associates’ Degree in Occupational Studies of Personal Training, Chris has been doing personal fitness training for six years. Chris believes fitness training should help people improve their self confidence and overall health.

Tara Evans
|
After being a stay at home mom and member of Southern Athletic for 2 years, Tara has recently joined our Personal Training staff. She has a degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise and Sports Science. She also has intership experience with cardiac and pulmonary rehab patients. Tara's desire is to motivate and assist members with improving themselves and attaining their personal goals.

Johnnie Pickett

Johnnie has been with Southern Athletic since 2008 and has been training for the past 5 years. He specializes in weight loss, toning and extreme cardiovascular workouts as well as youth training. Johnnie also feels that nutrition is very important part of your workout and being healthy. Along with a workout plan, he can create a diet plan that benefits you the most. Johnnie's tip for working out: Start slow and be consistent.

I am Blessed to help people in a very personal and positive way. I'm a graduate of Heritage College and have my Associate of Occupational Studies Degree in Personal Training. I have been a trainer at SAC since February 2009. I have always been very active all of my life, playing sports including soccer, softball and volleyball. Physical fitness is something that is very important to me. I encourage members to set goals for themselves that are both challenging and realistic. I believe that in order to achieve your greatest potential, you need to be determined, focused and willing to push yourself to the limit.

Steve Sayles

Steve brings 6 National Certifications and almost 4 years of Personal Training experience to Southern Athletic Club. Steve believes that with the proper nutrition, cardio exercise, supplementation, resistance training and professional assistance any goal can be achieved. He helps clients lose body fat, gain lean muscle, improve sports performance or get generally healthy. Steve says that helping change peoples lives is a feeling that is priceless.
